Re-records and refunds

Why it works this way

Most services ask you to pay first and hope. We record your actual song and let you hear the first minute of it before taking any money. By the time you pay, you have already heard what you are buying.

That is also why we do not offer refunds for not liking the result: the thing you might not like is the thing you listened to first.

The re-record

If the recording is not right — the voice, the arrangement, the way a line lands — you can have the same words sung again. The button is on your song page, it costs nothing, and you get one.

Three things to know before you use it:

• It replaces the recording you have. There is no going back to the old one.
• If you already sent the link, whoever you sent it to will hear the new version when they next open it.
• An MP3 you already downloaded stays on your device — we cannot take that back, and we would not want to.

It re-records the same lyrics. If the words are wrong, that is worth fixing before you pay — editing lyrics is free and unlimited at that step.

When we do refund

Refunds are for things going wrong, not for taste:

• The song never generated, or was never delivered.
• You were charged twice, or charged for something you did not order.
• Something on our side broke and we could not put it right.

Email hello@songgiftmaker.com with your order number. A person reads it, and we would rather sort it out than argue.

What a refund does

A refunded song stops being yours: the full recording locks back to the free minute, the download stops working, and the gift page goes dark. That is the trade — you get the money back, we take the song back. Anything you already downloaded stays with you.

Reply to your confirmation email, or write to hello@songgiftmaker.com. Include the order number from your receipt if you have it — it makes this much faster.
